Getting started
Install the app
Open Restocka from Apps in your Shopify admin. The first sync reads your products, stock and the last 60 days of sales; it takes a minute or two.
Set your suppliers’ delivery times
Restocka creates one supplier for each Vendor on your products. In Suppliers, add each one’s delivery time, minimum order and email once.
Check your settings
In Settings choose 30 or 60 days of sales, your safety days, how many days of stock you want after a delivery, which locations count as stock and where deliveries are received.
Create purchase orders
On the reorder list, select the products marked Order now or Order this week and click Create purchase orders. You get one order per supplier; send it by email with the PDF or download the PDF.
Receive and print labels
When the delivery arrives, open the purchase order and click Receive. Enter what came – all or part – and it’s added to your Shopify stock at the location you choose. Then print the barcode labels.
Questions
I’m coming from Stocky. What do I need to do?
Install Restocka and check your suppliers’ delivery times – suppliers are created from your Vendors, and sales and stock come straight from Shopify. Open purchase orders from Stocky can be imported as CSV with the columns sku, quantity and cost (Purchase orders → Import CSV).
What does Restocka cost?
Free plans up to 50 variants. Starter $19/month (1,000 variants, email support), Growth $49/month (10,000 variants, help setting up your suppliers), Pro $99/month (unlimited variants, priority support). Paid plans have a 14-day free trial, yearly billing gives 2 months free, and Shopify bills you in USD. No commission and no per-order fees.
What happens when I have more variants than my plan?
Your best sellers – by units sold in the last 60 days – get suggestions up to the plan’s limit. The rest are listed as “Not planned” until you change plan. Purchase orders, receiving and labels keep working for every product.
How does Restocka decide what to reorder?
It divides each product’s sales of the last 30 or 60 days by the days to get daily sales. When your stock plus what’s already on order would run out before a new delivery could arrive – the supplier’s delivery time plus your safety days – it says “Order now”. A week before that it says “Order this week”.
How many does it suggest?
Enough for the supplier’s delivery time, the days of stock you want after delivery and your safety days, minus what you have and what’s already on order. Then it’s raised to the supplier’s minimum order and rounded up to the pack size.
Where do suppliers and delivery times come from?
Restocka creates one supplier for each Vendor on your products, with the default delivery time from Settings. Set each supplier’s delivery time, minimum order and email once. To buy a single product from another supplier, click Edit next to it on the reorder list.
Can I receive part of a delivery?
Yes. Enter what arrived; it’s added to your Shopify stock at the location you choose, and the order stays “Partially received” until the rest comes. You can also close it if the rest won’t come. Switch on Update product costs to set the cost to the average of your stock and the delivery.
Which label printers work?
Any printer your computer can print to. Labels have a Code 128 barcode (from the variant’s barcode, or its SKU) with title, variant, SKU and optionally price. Use A4 sheets with 3 × 8 labels, or a label printer such as Dymo, Zebra or Brother with 57 × 32 mm labels and no margins.
Which data does Restocka read?
Products, inventory, locations and the quantities sold on orders of the last 30 or 60 days. It never reads customer names, emails or addresses.
Can I leave products out?
Yes. Archived products and products that don’t track inventory are left out. To leave out any other product, give it the tag do-not-reorder.
