Welcome

Amendora lets customers change their own order after checkout – the address, items, sizes, quantities, or cancelling – before anything ships. Changes go through Shopify’s own order editing, so the order keeps its number and Shopify’s timeline records every change.

Getting started

1. Install Amendora (see amendora.loolon.com) and open it from Apps in your Shopify admin. The defaults are ready straight away.
2. Set your rules in Settings: the time limit and which changes customers may make.
3. Place a test order and open the change link from the confirmation email or the thank-you page to see what customers see.

Settings

Time limit

Choose how long customers can change an order after checkout, from 15 minutes to 24 hours. While the time runs, fulfillment is on hold.

Allowed changes

Switch each change on or off: shipping address, contact details, quantity, swapping a size or colour, removing items and cancelling the order.

Automatic refunds

When a change makes an order cheaper, Amendora creates a refund. By default you approve it in the Refunds list; switch on automatic refunds to have Shopify refund the difference straight away.

Texts, languages and colour

The change page and emails speak English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Dutch, following the customer’s language. You can edit every text and the button colour in Settings.

What customers see

• The link: the order confirmation email and the thank-you page link to a secure change page. No login is needed.
• The change page: it opens on your own store domain through Shopify’s app proxy and uses your theme’s font. Each link is signed, opens only that one order and expires with your time limit.
• Confirming: customers see the new total before they confirm.
• Paying or getting money back: if the order costs more, they pay the difference with a secure Shopify payment link. If it costs less, a refund is created.

Fulfillment hold

While the change time runs, Amendora holds fulfillment so nothing ships before the customer is done. The hold lifts by itself when the time is up. Fulfilled or partly fulfilled orders can’t be changed.

Refunds list

Refunds from cheaper orders wait in one list for you to review and approve, unless you switched on automatic refunds.

Plans and limits

• A changed order is one order changed by a customer, however many changes it gets. Your own edits in Shopify don’t count.
• There is no commission and no fee per change. Yearly billing costs 10 months. Paid plans have a 14-day free trial and are billed through Shopify in USD.
• When the limit is reached, customers are asked to contact you instead, until you choose a paid plan (or, on a paid plan, until next month or a bigger plan). You get an email when that happens.

Uninstalling

When you uninstall Amendora, any fulfillment holds it placed are released. Your store’s Amendora data is deleted as described in the privacy policy.
